So a couch potato means someone who doesn't like to be active. They like sitting on the couch, maybe playing video games, watching TV, and eating junk food. They don't love moving very much. They like to stay still. Here's an example. You could say, "Hey! You're such a couch potato. Get up. Let's go hike." So maybe you could say that to your friend, or your son or your daughter who's very lazy. Or, you could say, "I'm a couch potato. I hate exercising!" Something like that.
